Caller ID read: HUNTINGTON B CA - Block this number. It was a robocall claiming to be Sarah from the Accident Claim Center. She asked if I had an accident within the last 2 years. Using common, friendly names or realistic pre-recorded voice bots makes the interaction feel familiar and lowers your guard. Asking if you had an accident in the past two years is a "phishing expedition." They don't know anything about you; they are hoping you actually did have a minor accident so they can exploit that coincidence. They want to verify your full name, address, and insurance details to sell to shady third-party legal firms. They often try to pressure you into making false personal injury claims through complicit lawyers or bogus clinics. Sometimes, they just want to get you to say the word "Yes" (e.g., "Did you have an accident?") to record your voice and use it later to authorize fraudulent charges over the phone. They called our business number, so when I asked who they were trying to reach, I broke their script and the bot did not respond, only disconnected.
