I received a message from someone named "Beatrice Matteo" offering a rent in Bordeaux after she saw my profile on Le carte de coloc, and asked for a 800€ deposit in order to save the room for me. I immediately suspected from the writing that was misspelled and looking like a bad Google Translator translation. When I searched for the number on Google I found the same apartment photos on another renting site in Brussels.

A person called Beatrice Matteo wrote me a message on WhatsApp, offering an appartment, without specifying the address and location, after reading my profile on WG-Gesucht. She also said that originally came from Italy, but grew up in Germany at her grandparent's house. After reading the comments on this site, I could see the very similar messages and suspect that the message I got was a scam also. Very notable was the fact that the way she wrote kinda seemed like as if it was translated with Google-Translate and without proper usage of periods and commas. Definitely do not fall for this scam!
