Asian accent. Claimed to be from Virgin Media. Had I noticed my internet was slow sometimes? Others have been trying to access my connection. I asked for details of my package. He would look it up. Loud rustling of papers and the call cut off. Clearly a phishing exercise. Helps to pass the day.

Saying from virgin media and there was fraudulent activity on my Internet..my reply was oh thats very interesting to know what would you like me to do about it ( knew it was a scam call) I was asked what I wanted to do I replied well I have no idea what to do you tell me do I need to put my laptop/computer on ... Reply from them ( a male ) was do you have a daughter when I asked what business it was of his if I had any children sons or daughters his reply was if you have a daughter send her to me then he put the phone down...

Insisted they were calling from Virgin Media even though they called me on my work number and that is not connected in any way to Virgin. I asked Lisa a lot of questions which she did not like. She ended up shouting at me and then put the phone down on me. I called back and spoke to Brian her senior supervisor who is going to teach her a lesson in "how to talk to customers"!! Never did get to the bottom of my email problems :)

Impersonating Virgin Media, advising my IP was being hacked. Asked me to check the lights on the "modem". Was not put off in the slightest by my response that I was a security consultant and carried on with his script, relating to WiFi security. I explained that I did not use WiFi as too many scammers out there. At that point I mentioned that I had not caught his name, Jason Smith apparently. I told him my name was Bruce Lee at which point he hung up. Gutted, I let him go too easily.

Received a call advising they were technical team re the internet speed issues and other internet issues .... checked my download speed while she was on the phone and all good ... she assured me she was Virgin Media and even gave me her employee number (195VM) but I told her I had no issues with my internet and my speeds were very good ... she ended the call
