My husbands mother received a text about my husband text number was 480-992-6595. The text stated his name along with the following - We have an important legal matter that directly concerns you. Call us directly at 866-384-1637 and refer to file #. There was a file number but I'm leaving it out. My husband called and was told total bs. My husband called the supposed company that would be filing check fraud and a garnishment against him and they informed him it was a scam and to disregard the text. My husband called the scammers back and Allen Taner spelling could be different was no longer interested in talking to him once informed the said company was not pressing charges or filing for a garnishment. Allen Taner is in the "legal" department. One of the people who answered the phone was named Susan did not catch the other two names unfortunately. The information they had for my husband is outdated it's comical. Allen Taner will say he is filing the paperwork with the courts and he supposedly did that in a matter of 5-10 minutes that was with 2 different counties. We have 2 recordings of the calls since it screamed scam from the beginning. Please do not fall for this and give them money. He wanted $559.15 today to make this go away or it would go up to $1,702.01.
