Received today, June 12, 2026 at 1243EDT, from this number, this text is purportedly from Schiffer Law Firm to help recover funds lost to a scam: "Greetings, this is Attorney Jones from Schiffer Law Firm. Together with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), we help victims of online fraud reclaim lost funds. If you’ve lost money due to fraud, we can evaluate your case, track the funds using IC3 data, and provide a strategy for recovery. To get help, simply reply “YES” along with your name and the amount lost." Sychiffer Law firm (713-521-0059) on their automated voice response states that they are in no way connected to the texter. They suggest reporting the event to IC3
