Concerningly it sent the text: "Alert: [My name, first and last, first was misspelled but a common misspelling], you've earned it at [current university of attendance]. Scholarship deadline is today!" Then it gives an invite to a questionable link. They've texted before, all with similar messages. They could come across as legitimate to someone uneducated. Universities will contact you via numbers that have the appropriate area code, and scholarships rarely text, they usually email.

Addressed directly to my name, with a deadline, has a links, and sends them repeatedly in messages formatted slightly differently. Looks like a scam or phishing attack but I'm not entirely sure.
