Caller ID read: JEAN NV - Received the call at our business number. The man didn't even give me his name, but said he needed to speak to the project manager. When I asked what the call was regarding, he tried to get me to transfer the call, kind of pushy. He didn't know that I was the project manager, and so I told him that he's not available and he could leave a message. He gave me a different number than what showed up on the caller ID (888) 333-3919. This is common for caller ID spoofing, a bait and switch tactic used by scammers. This is highly likely a scam or an aggressive corporate phishing attempt. Legitimate businesses do not hide their names, vaguely demand to speak to a "project manager" about generic "project services," or use a separate, untraceable toll-free number to bypass caller ID filters. Don't waste your time answering this number.
Great & Thank You!
