Text message pretending to be PayPal. But worryingly it had the details of a recent EBAY transaction, and they were CORRECT! The number this was sent to is on my EBAY account, but not set up for paypal alerts. Did they assume I use the same mobile number for ebay and also for logging in to PP? If I believed it was from PP and replied, then I would have just confirmed that number is used as a login for PP. VERY SNEAKY. But how did they know a) the number and b) that transaction? It could only have come from someone who could access my EBAY. I have reported to both PP and also EBAY.
