A woman called for an employee but stated the alleged title first, which is always a red flag for me. I asked what company she was calling from and she said "Helpship" (which, while technically a shipping company in rural Tennessee, is not likely employing overseas customer service and/or solicitors). When I asked what the call was regarding, she stated "Papers Automation opportunities" ( I may have that wrong, it was said very quickly in an accent I am bad at hearing). I stated that we are not accepting solicitations at this time, and hung up. The biggest tell was her sense of urgency. Phishers will often rush you, hoping to fluster their target into giving information you normally wouldn't.

Möchten bestimmte Mitarbeiter sprechen, auf Nachfrage warum wird schnippig reagiert. Wollten einen Mitarbeiter aus HR zwecks angeblichem System/Firma "FAP" (nicht SAP)?! HR hat mit keinen Systemen zu tun, sowas betrifft eher die IT.. Mit der Sprache ist der gute Mann auch leider nicht ganz rausgerückt. Das nächste Mal am besten einfach durchklingeln lassen.

Indian lady was trying to offer some software if I understood correctly, however when I started asking where did she get my email and phone number she said she got my extention, our company landlines were cancelled many month ago and I don't have my work email published anywhere. Then she hang up. It could have been a phishing attempt, who knows.

An Indian lady with good english called and knew my first name and job title. She said she was from netsuite (computer software company) and was asking if she could email me. She asked about the ERP system I am currently using and if there were plans to change it in the next 12 months. I work for a large law firm so it doesn't make sense why I would get the phone call. I am a credit controller and have no say in what happens with these type of things. Strange call - I don't know where she would have found my direct number as it is not advertised anywhere. You would only find it in my e-signature to clients.
