I think this was Greenpeace. If you sign a petition your number goes into a database and they call usually between 6 and 7 for a few days, asking for money. I wouldn't sign a petition for them again.

It was Greenpeace thanking me for signing the petition and also to ask if i could make a donation over the phone. I hung up because after i said im unlikely to do that over the phone she asked what time i would be finished with organizing with my bank a direct debit set up.... but i just want to nap!

If I don't recognize the number I let it go to VMail. The first three calls (one each day from a Fri to Sun) left no VMail. I could hear what sounded like a contact centre in the background. Received another call on the Mon and the VMail picked up the caller making a sarcastic melody (like a classic 'game over' tune). Will probably get another call, still not going to answer. If they're legit I can reasonably expect a clear VMail message.
