Calls us at work on general number, asking for random colleagues (I guess they found the number on LinkedIn). I tell them no and they hang up. Odd. At first I thought they were recruiters, they can be a nuisance as well.

I have been called by this number at least 5 times now from people claiming to be from Japanese Investment Company asking me to "keep an open mind" and send them money. Definitely unsolicited, definitely a nuisance, potentially either a scam or phishing (I don't let them reach the point where they ask for personal details). I have requested they remove my number from their call list but still receive at least one call every two weeks (often at random/unsociable hours of the day especially in the early morning).

They had my full name which is unusual as this number is not registered to me. It must have been taken from Facebook as it is the only place I use my full name and I did have the number on there for my design business. They say they are calling from an investment company. It is not the only number they use and seem to route through Japan and Hong Kong and USA. The caller sounds asian so I suspect a call centre in India.
